Cannubi, a well rounded hill that rises majestically from the Barolo valley.
Our company works this hill, and our vines, which grow on three of its flanks, have since 1992 been subject to successive re-planting.
Due to its geographically strategic position, the hill benefits from the deep compact soils on the Helvetian side of the Barolo area, represented by the communities of Monforte d’Alba, Castiglione Falletto, and Serralunga d’Alba, and then there’s the Tortonian element, soft and delicate, identified in La Morra and Verduno.
The Cannubi soil is rich in fine sand and limestone, and together with a microclimate, give the Nebbiolo grape from Barolo an abundance of extraordinary delicate characteristics, features that don’t however mask the energy and structure, but create an elegant harmony of dissolving colours, perfume and taste.
