The Barolo Cannubi gives the satisfaction of renovating a work of art. A reward after a year’s hard work and continuous care, from the first shoots of the vines, to savouring the sight of the heavy mature bunches, and the heady perfumes that fill the cellars during the harvest.

Area: Cru Cannubi, Barolo

Variety: 100% Nebbiolo grape.

Colour: Intense and firm, from ruby tones in youth, through garnet hues with time, and eventually acquiring reflections of sharp orange.

Bouquet: Complex, intense and persistent, with ethereal, fruity and spicy notes.

Flavour: Dry, full bodied and  elegant tannin, rich and intense finish.

Minimum Alcohol allowed: 13% Alc. /Vol.

Vinification and ageing: maceration for 8-10 days in large oak casks, with frequent replacement and turning.  Following a second fermentation called the maloactic, the wine is ready for ageing in large oak casks, three years for Barolo Vintage and minimun five years for Barolo Riserva. After bottling, the wine is allowed a further 6 months ageing in horizontal racks.

Food match: An elegant partner for roasts, game, stews, and well aged cheeses.

At the table: To fully appreciate this wine it deserves to be served in large glasses. For older vintages a thorough decanting is recommended.
